A Quick Glance – More AHN Programs:

The Women’s Health Connection (WHC) program administered by Access to Healthcare Network provides breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to low-income women who are uninsured or underinsured (cannot afford the cost of care). Thanks to the generosity of WHC providers, Nevada women who meet certain qualifications may be eligible to receive free cervical and breast cancer screenings at no charge.

We also provide support services for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing community. We can use the ASL Anywhere app and the UbiDuo machine to communicate better with the Deaf community.

The Diabetes Prevention Program is a lifestyle change program led by a trained lifestyle coach to help you learn new skills, encourage you to set and meet goals (weekly, monthly, and long-term), and keep you motivated. You will meet with a group of 8-20 people in a small group setting where you will share ideas, celebrate successes, and work to overcome obstacles. The program will be tailored to meet the needs of individuals within the group.

One of our knowledgeable and experienced Registered Dietitians (RDs) will meet with you to review your medical history and provide disease-specific nutrition education and recommendations based on your needs. We’ll break down the latest research and help bring clarity to the often overwhelming and conflicting nutrition messages coming from the media and loved ones.

This May, join Access to Healthcare Network and Northern Nevada Medical Group for cooking classes on Saturday mornings from 10 to Noon. During this series, you will learn how to achieve your health goals by making small changes to your cooking routine. Classes will be held in the teaching kitchen at Access to Healthcare Network in the Reno Town Mall above the Sierra View Library at 4001 S Virginia St, Suite F, Reno, NV 89502.
