Colon Screening

You may have colon cancer and not even know it.  This is why it is so important to get screened starting at age 50.  It can save your life!

To qualify for this free screening, you must be: 

•  Uninsured
• Within certain income qualifications
• Between 50-64 years of age
• Asymptomatic for colon cancer (no rectal bleeding, blood in the stool, chronic diarrhea/constipation, no unexplained weight loss or lower abdominal pain)
• Never been diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) or Ulcerative Colitis

If you meet the above criteria you will be given a free iFOBT (Fit) stool kit.  If the stool kit results test positive for blood in the stool, you will receive a free colonoscopy.
