Q: WHAT IS ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE NETWORK?
A: Access to Healthcare Network (AHN) is a non-profit organization that has agreements with local doctors, hospitals and other health care providers to offer their services at reduced fees to working uninsured Nevada residents.
Q: IS THIS HEALTH INSURANCE?
A: No. It is a non-profit Medical Discount Plan registered with the State of Nevada, Division of Insurance. AHN does not make payments directly to providers; AHN members pay a reduced fee at the time health care services are provided.
Q: WHAT HEALTH CARE SERVICES WILL MY EMPLOYEES BE ABLE TO ACCESS?
A: As AHN members, your employees will have access to a broad range of doctors and health care services at a reduced fee. Services include all hospital services available through Renown Health and Saint Mary’s; primary care physicians and pediatricians; specialty care services such as cardiologists, endocrinologists, gynecologists and many more; diagnostics like MRI’s, lab, and radiology; and mental health, pharmacy and vision services.
Q: HOW MUCH DOES OUR BUSINESS HAVE TO PAY TO ACCESS THE NETWORK?
A: There is a nominal monthly membership fee to access the Network. An individual monthly membership is $40; member plus single dependent is $65; for an entire family $90. The Employer is responsible for $20 and the Employee the remainder of the monthly fee.
Q: DOES AHN HAVE A REGISTRATION FEE?
A: No, Access to Healthcare Network does not have a registration fee.
Q: WHY SHOULD OUR BUSINESS PARTICIPATE?
A: Providing affordable access to health care for your employees encourages a healthier workforce. It also has a positive effect on recruiting new employees and retaining your current staff in today’s highly competitive market.
Q: WHICH OF OUR EMPLOYEES WOULD QUALIFY?
A: AHN members represent a broad cross-section of the uninsured including part-time employees, small business employees and children. Access to Healthcare Network members are uninsured Nevada residents living between 100 and 250% of the AHN Income Guidelines and do not qualify for Medicaid, Medicare, or Nevada Check-Up.
