Women's Health Connection
If you are a Nevada woman over the age of 40 and meet certain qualifications you are eligible to receive the following:
- Annual Pelvic Exam
- Pap Smear
- Annual Clinical Breast Exam
- Some Diagnostic Services
Nevada women over the age of 50 are eligible for the services above and an annual screening mammogram.
The qualifications are simple. If you do not have health insurance, Medicaid or Medicare Part B and fit the Income Guidelines and are a resident of Nevada you probably qualify. If you are detected with either breast or cervical cancer and are in need of treatment you immediately qualify to apply for Medicaid even if you are under age 65. For treatment under Medicaid you will have to show proof of U.S. Citizenship.
