Niki Atcheson King is a dedicated leader with a strong track record in advancing healthcare access and community support for underserved populations in Nevada. As the Vice President of Community Solutions at SilverSummit Healthplan, Niki spearheads efforts to bridge the gap between healthcare and social services, ensuring that individuals with health-related social needs receive the care and support they deserve.

Her role involves a range of responsibilities, from overseeing the Community Investment Program, Marketing, Government Relations, and Business Development to managing the Community Network, a key initiative designed to connect SilverSummit members with vital resources. By focusing on evidence-based interventions, Niki and her team are actively working to remove the social barriers that hinder access to healthcare, particularly for the most vulnerable populations.

A notable example of her work is the launch of the free transportation service in partnership with Access to Healthcare Network. This service addresses a critical barrier—lack of transportation—by offering door-to-door and door-through-door transportation for residents in rural Nevada. Available to SilverSummit Healthplan members, Nevada Medicaid members, and low-income individuals, the service facilitates access to medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores, and community centers. The initiative also includes a driver who serves as a point of contact for riders who may need additional support.

Niki’s deep commitment to improving the lives of low-income Nevadans is further reflected in her past work as the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Access to Healthcare Network. She also served as the Deputy Executive Director for the YWCA, where she gained valuable experience in nonprofit management and community service.
